What this fixes

Big patterns need floor to work. Put a 40-inch repeat in a 10-foot-wide room and you don't see a pattern, you see a piece of one — and it reads as a mistake rather than as design.

Pinnacle solves that. The repeat is small enough to complete itself several times across a modest room, so the floor looks intentional. It's also the most forgiving pattern here for hiding soil and traffic lanes, because the motif changes every foot or so.

Using it alongside Gatsby or Moderne

All three share the Azure, Ruby and Smoke palette, which is genuinely useful on a multi-room build. Run Gatsby in the theater for drama and Pinnacle in the hallway and stairs, in the same colorway, and the spaces read as one project rather than two decisions.

A small repeat also wastes less on stairs and around corners, so it's usually the cheaper carpet for the circulation areas even at the same price per yard.

Why theater carpet, not household carpet

Residential carpet is built for foot traffic in a hallway. Theater carpet is built for a room where people eat, drink and spill in the dark, then leave the same chairs parked in the same spots for years.

Premium WearOn® Nylon resists soil, stains, wear and matting, and the printed pattern hides the crumbs and drink rings that a plain cut pile puts on display. The dark, low-sheen palette also keeps the floor from bouncing screen light back up at your eyeline — which is exactly why cinemas have used patterned dark carpet for a century.

Fire rating — read this if you're finishing a basement

Class 1 fire rated and CRI Green Label Plus certified for low VOC emissions.

If your theater is in a finished basement or anywhere subject to inspection, this matters — many residential carpets are not Class 1. Building codes vary by jurisdiction and are applied inconsistently, so confirm with your local fire marshal or building inspector before installing. We can supply the manufacturer's test documentation on request.

Shipping

Broadloom ships on a 13'6" wide roll and moves as freight, not parcel. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your address and the quantity you order.

Before you order

Order the whole room at once. Carpet is dyed in batches, and a roll cut from a later production run will not match exactly. Ordering the full quantity in one go is the only way to guarantee a consistent floor.

Add for pattern match and waste. A patterned carpet has to line up across a seam, so the usable yardage is less than the raw square footage of your room. Tell us your dimensions and we'll do the takeoff properly rather than have you guess.
