LENRD® Bass Traps — Corner Traps, Studiofoam®
The original corner bass trap, and still the default answer for boomy low end.
LENRD stands for Low-End Node Reduction Device. Each trap is 1' × 1' × 2' of genuine Auralex Studiofoam® with an NRC of 1.50. Available in Charcoal, Purple, or Burgundy, in 2, 4, or 8 packs.
What this fixes
Bass is the problem panels don't solve. Low frequencies pile up in room corners, and what you hear is a subwoofer that booms in one seat and disappears in another, explosions that turn to mush, and a film score whose bass line you can feel but not follow.
Corners are where that buildup is worst, which is why corner trapping gives you more audible improvement per dollar than adding more flat wall panels once your first reflection points are handled.
Where they go

| Vertical wall-to-wall corners | The primary location. Stack traps floor to ceiling in the two front corners first — that's where buildup is usually heaviest in a theater room. |
| Wall-to-ceiling junctures | The next most effective spot once the vertical corners are done, and an easy place to add coverage without eating wall space. |
More trapping is generally better for bass — it's very hard to over-treat the low end in a normal-sized room.

Mounting
Recommended adhesives are Foamtak™, Tubetak Pro™, or EZ-Stick Pro™ tabs. Foam mounts with adhesive — the impaling clips used for fabric-wrapped fiberglass panels are not used here.
Fire rating — read this before you buy
This is a foam product and is not Class A rated. If your install needs a documented Class A fire rating per ASTM E-84 — typical for commercial spaces and some finished basements subject to inspection — the fiberglass ProPanel line is the product to look at instead.
Auralex foam is fire retardant and/or self-extinguishing to varying extents, but no guarantee is made that it meets the building code in your area, and local codes are not applied uniformly. Check with your local fire marshal or building inspector before purchasing or installing. Third-party fire test reports are available for many products — just ask.

Calculated at checkout based on your address. Foam is light but bulky, so a single larger pack ships more efficiently than several small orders.
Before you order
Order all the foam for a room at once. Foam is produced in batches and slight color variation between runs is normal. Pieces added later may not match exactly.
